Important Company is looking for new talent as a
Sales Business Development Manager
in central Zone based in Mexico City
Purpose of Position
The primary role of this position is to achieve sales targets for these brands, through development of direct sales. This is achieved through execution of effective sales plans and processes; the implementation of adequate processes for follow up customers and key accounts in the region: organization of trainings, presentations, workshops, meetings, providing sales support and sales assistance to customers and RSM, and also by building up relationships with key customers and by providing support and logistics processes for the sales channels.
Sales process development and execution tracking including: prospecting, customer acquisition, value selling and closing
Coordination of large project and key account sales pursuit activities
Sales activities including: key account management, customer site visits, telephone contacts, trade seminars and shows, product demonstrations and customer seminars
Product and application training for the customers and key accounts
Relationship development with key customers in priority countries
Serves as a technical specialist, providing product expertise to customers and sales team
Communication of Mexico market needs to product marketing and product development team
Voice of the Customer (VOC) research, both qualitative and quantitative
Monitoring and reporting market trends - regulatory drivers, competitive threats, market-growth predictions
Input for marketing collateral, promotions, communication
Competitive market analysis
BS or BA in Engineering or the Sciences required
MBA in business or marketing preferred
Expertise in environmental water monitoring Water quality is a must
Sales or marketing experience in similar products and services
8 or more years experience dealing with local, state and federal environmental agencies; including funding, budgeting and purchasing processes
Demonstrated ability to quickly acquire new knowledge and skills as required
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and manage many tasks/projects simultaneously
Excellent organizational skills
Demonstrated ability in analytical thinking, including strategy development, action plan development and execution.
Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with both technical and non-technical customers. Requires proven ability to speak before large groups
Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to lift and transport equipment
Work environment includes any environment where products are used including laboratories, natural terrain, etc.
Fluency in English & Spanish
Willing to travel
