We are looking for a regional strategic CSR and Public Affairs Specialist to its office in Mexico City for the region. Can you work with CSR on a strategic and tactical level in a business context and link it to the PA agenda? Are you self-motivated and self-driven? And can you manage expectations of external partners and colleagues?
With direct reference to the Global Head of Corporate Social Responsibility and indirect reference to the Head Public Affairs your responsibilities will cover an exciting and wide range of CSR activities in the LATAM region and Public Affairs tasks in Mexico (on occasions, also throughout Central America & the Caribbean). 60-70% of the time will be allocated to CSR activities. You will become the colleague of a dedicated CSR Community Relations specialist & the Public Affairs team. This position is key to engage with stakeholders in the region tosupport and develop the company position in the market.
Together with colleagues develop and support the execution of a global/regional CSR strategy and initiatives and support PA initiatives in Mexico and, on occasions, in Central America & the CaribbeanRepresent Vestas withinkey associations and other relevant interest groups to develop and present Vestas positions to all relevant external stakeholders; politicians, officials, industry and media. Respond to government consultation and activelyMonitor current and analyze expected policies relevant to wind powerRepresentVestas and speak at conferencesOn-going stakeholder analysis and trendspotting within CSR and the wind sectorDaily interaction with internal key stakeholders such as sales, construction, legal, finance and service and external key stakeholders such as customers, financial institutions, and authorities.Support social due diligence process according to Vestas global systemKnow the political agenda in relation to CSR and be able to act on it and put it into global contextQualifications
Working experience in the field of CSR especially human rights & labor conditions / public affairs (5-7 years)in a global business contextWorking experience from the private sector in stakeholder relations or regulatory analysisAbility to think and plan strategically and act accordingly.Good business acumen - ability to link CSR and PA activities and business needs.Good social and networking skills.Understand the CSR agenda from a commercial, political and civil society perspectiveUsed to work in Microsoft officeKnowledge of the energy regulation and the electricity market in Mexico would be an advantage.Competencies

Primary work location is in Mexico D.F. with high level of national travel andpresence on sites. International llong travels will be also required.
