Provide DBA support on all aspects of databases administration including backup/recovery, replication, deployment and real time production troubleshooting responsibilities on DB2 UDB databases.Install, configure, monitor, upgrade, patch and maintain database in production and non-productionenvironments.Ability to create, maintain UDB/DB2 objectsAbility to design, implement, maintain, tune and support databasesAbility to diagnose, troubleshoot common SQL CODES and error messagesExperience in implementing DB2 LUW Adaptive Compression and table Partitioning.Has worked with IBM Support and IBM SR tool.Manage DBA Service Request queues to meet reasonable project development deadlines and negotiate on-hold requests toward prompt resolution.Provide 24×7 on call DBA support for production environment on rotation and need basis.Provide Database deployment support for Test and Productionenvironments.Strong knowledge on database performance monitors and various tuning technique.Interact with Storage and Systems administrators on Linux/Unix/VM operating systems issues related to Databases.Strong knowledge of writing and troubleshooting complex scripts for database maintenance automation and testing.Configure and maintain Database High availability, Support data guard replication.Troubleshoot database production problems and database connectivity issues etc.Maintain standard procedural documentation related to all aspects of operating the database platforms. Participate in incident resolution as an escalation point for database incidents.Document known errors or workarounds in the shared Knowledge Base.Able to work on schema changes and knowledge on db2 utilities (db2 export, import, load, db2move etc).Working experience on UNIX/Linux and medium level system administration knowledgeCurrent knowledge on IBM DB2 product family (DB2 v9.7, V10.1, V10.5)Expertise in navigating the UDB/DB2 environment on Production, Testing and Development environmentsStrong knowledge of AIX/Linux Operating system commands vmstats ,iostat ,nmon.Good experience on Q-Replication, DB2 BLU, informatics Familiarity with data modeling and designAbility to create backup and recovery proceduresStrong ability to interact with development groups, gather requirements and manage all phases of database implementationGood knowledge on Incident , Problem and Change management processKnowledge on Ticketing toolsManaging P1/P2 Bridge Calls. Participate in incident resolution as an escalation point for database incidents.DB2 UDB Certification is added advantageProcess knowledge certification is added advantage.Ready to work in US Business hours.Awareness of Agile and SAFe delivery model.
