The Supply Chain Manager monitors and assists fabricators and main suppliers, ensuring quality product to customer and internal specifications is delivered on time and on budget for the success of the product/project. This position will maintain quality and schedule compliance by performing supplier visits, customer visits, and inspections as necessary.
This position requires to work closely with the project team based in the United States and will be responsible to provide them with the appropriate reporting, monitoring information and documentation.
Supply Chain Leader - Gas Turbine Inlet Filtration
Manage the monitoring and inspection requirements by project to ensure these are completed. Maintain a resource planning tool to ensure successful resourcing of all requirements, escalating to management as necessary for support.Draft Fabrication Quality Control Plans (QCPs) and ensure that the fabricators? QCPs and manufacturing process plans (MPPs) and other related quality documentation reflect Clarcor requirements and are sufficient to facilitate compliant product.Coach and assist in the development of manufacturing process plans aswell as conveying product knowledge to suppliers.Establish inspection and test plans (ITPs) with the project team, and ensure that they are implemented in a timely manner in accordance with the latest project schedule plan.Assist the fabricator and buyer in the development of delivery schedules. Vet and provide input to fabrication schedules in conjunction with the Clarcor project manager and buyer.Create recovery plansConduct fabricator progress and capacity checks, working with the fabricator and buyer if schedules are behind, and providing insight on fabricator schedules based on localteam input.Provide progress status reports as required for project schedules, identifying risks and mitigation requirements.Ensure SDR?s are raised by the fabricator as required when they need to deviates from the drawing or specification.Act as or delegate responsibility to verify completion of requirements of QCPs and ITPs, and inspections where appropriate.
Essential qualifications and requirements:
Bachelor?s degree from an accredited university or college with at least 5 years of experience in senior manufacturing, project management or operations roles.Demonstrated resource planning experience and performanceDemonstrated influencing capability; role relies on ability to influence and lead a team that are not direct reports.Ability to drive fabricator performance to achieve quality and schedule targetsStrong customer service and quality focusStrong PC and database management skillsStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal and leadership skills. Strong interaction with team of diverse cultural and language backgrounds is critical to success.Good organisational and presentation skills are critical to ability to lead diverse team.Process drivenTravel up to 75% as required by product fabrication demandsStrong oral and written English language skills.Experience in sheet metal fabrication or manufacturing of mechanical systems / fabricationsDesired: Experience and understanding of six sigma and lean methodology.
